Lake Minear is a member-supported, volunteer-run beach, situated on a pristine lake just minutes from downtown Libertyville. We've served families from all corners of Lake County since 1957 with swimming, fishing and special events for our members.
A summer family membership costs $275 for unlimited beach access from 10 am to 8 pm every day between Memorial Day and Labor Day (weather permitting). Discounted individual and Senior rates available too! click HERE to join us!

Sometimes you just want to sit with your feet in the sand and have someone bring you food. We get you.
Any membership lets you fish from shore during normal hours, all summer long. Right after this picture was taken, these kids caught a MASSIVE fish. You should have seen it, it was enormous.
Enjoy really large fish and/or cold weather? Our Extended Fishing package offers year-round access to the lake, with your own keys to the gate!
Host your summer parties right on the beach- members can reserve picnic tables for a very reasonable fee, any time during our opening hours
